Anthony (Tony) Pontone originally founded Vertex Diamond Tool Company in 1977. Tony began his career in 1952 in Detroit, Michigan with one of the largest diamond tool companies in the world. His area of specialty was in natural diamond shape tools. After working his way through the organization, Tony was transferred to California as General Manager of the western division plant. With Tony's 40 years of diamond tool experience, he has built a solid reputable company stressing customer service and quality.
Loretta Pontone Houchin has been with Vertex since its beginning in 1977. Loretta's previous experience in accounting and banking is a valuable factor to the stability and growth of the company. Vertex is proud to be one of the few woman owned businesses in the diamond tool industry.
Ken Houchin has been with Vertex since its beginning in 1977. Ken is a Chemical Engineer by degree and he has applied his engineering and marketing experience to assist Vertex in becoming a leader in the diamond tool industry.
